How Does It Work?

The primary operation of the Rock Splitter is based on inserting counter-wedges into a predrilled hole. The hydraulic cylinder pushes the central wedge between the counter-wedges to spread them apart, forcing the rock to crack.

  • Step 1:

    Insert half of the total length of the wedge and use the Yamamoto splitter to split.

  • Step 2:

    Then insert about ¾ of the total length of the wedge to split again.

  • Step 3:

    Finally, insert the full length of the wedge and split to complete.
